Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using aslanos.com ("Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

Important: Section 10 contains a binding arbitration clause and class action waiver that significantly affects your legal rights. Please read it carefully.
1. Platform Role & Intermediary Status

Aslanos operates as a neutral online marketplace platform — a technology intermediary that provides tools for independent buyers and sellers to connect and transact. Aslanos is not a party to, and is not involved in, any transaction between users. Aslanos does not take title to, possess, inspect, or guarantee any goods listed on the Platform. Aslanos is not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline.

Aslanos operates as a technology intermediary consistent with applicable safe harbour and platform liability laws, including but not limited to Section 230 of the U.S. Communications Decency Act and equivalent provisions in other jurisdictions. Aslanos is not liable for user-generated content or user-to-user transactions.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

To use the Platform you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher)
  • Be a natural person, corporation, or legally recognised entity with capacity to contract
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information at all times
  • Not have been previously suspended or permanently banned from the Platform

You are solely responsible for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at security@aslanos.com if you suspect unauthorised access. Aslanos will not be liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account.

3. Listings, Products & Transactions

Sellers are solely and exclusively responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all listing content and of all goods and services offered. Aslanos does not endorse, verify, inspect, or guarantee any listing or any user. All transactions are conducted directly between buyer and seller. Aslanos expressly disclaims all liability for:

  • Product quality, condition, fitness for purpose, authenticity, or safety
  • Delivery failures, shipping disputes, customs delays, or carrier errors
  • Misrepresentations made by users in listings or platform communications
  • Failure of either party to honour a transaction or fulfil obligations
  • Compliance of listed products with any applicable law or regulation
4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent content of any kind
  • List, sell, or facilitate the sale of illegal, restricted, or prohibited items
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security or access-control features
  • Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or automated tools without prior written authorisation
  • Manipulate prices, ratings, feedback, or search results
  • Conduct or facilitate off-platform transactions to avoid platform fees or protections
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against any user or Aslanos employee
  • Impersonate any person, business, or entity
  • Upload, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, or any malicious code
  • Violate the intellectual property rights of any third party

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination, removal of listings, forfeiture of pending payments, and/or referral to law enforcement, at Aslanos''s sole and absolute discretion, without liability to you.

5. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, trademarks, logos, software, code, and design are owned by or licensed to Aslanos and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property without express prior written permission.

By submitting content to the Platform, you grant Aslanos a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, non-exclusive licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. You warrant that you hold all necessary rights to grant this licence.

6. DMCA & Intellectual Property Takedowns

To submit a DMCA notice, send the following to legal@aslanos.com: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) the specific URL of the infringing content; (c) your contact information; (d) a good-faith belief statement; and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder. We will process valid notices in accordance with applicable law.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Aslanos, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, and legal fees arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your listings, content, or communications; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights; or (e) any transaction you engage in through the Platform.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT, PRODUCTS, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR FREEDOM FROM COMPUTER VIRUSES. ASLANOS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. USE OF THE PLATFORM IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ASLANOS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN ALL CASES, ASLANOS''S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO ASLANOS IN THE THIRTY (30) DAYS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, ASLANOS''S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

10. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

10.1 Informal Resolution. Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@aslanos.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) calendar days.

10.2 Binding Arbitration. If informal resolution fails, all disputes, claims, or controversies arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform — including questions of arbitrability — shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration, not by a court. The arbitrator''s award is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

10.3 Class Action Waiver. YOU AND ASLANOS EACH AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person''s claims. If this waiver is found unenforceable, Section 10.2 shall be null and void, and any such claims shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction.

10.4 Exceptions. Either party may seek emergency injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction solely to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration. Nothing herein prevents you from lodging a complaint with a data protection authority, consumer protection regulator, or equivalent statutory body.

10.5 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by applicable law. For any proceedings not subject to arbitration, you irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts of our principal place of business.

11. Force Majeure

Aslanos will not be liable for any delay, disruption, or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action or regulation, internet or power outages, or third-party service failures.

12. Suspension & Termination

Aslanos reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, and without liability to you. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including indemnification, limitation of liability, arbitration, and intellectual property — shall so survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

Aslanos reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days'' notice of material changes by email or prominent platform notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance. If you disagree, your sole remedy is to stop using the Platform and close your account.
